Hallo lieve mensen,
“Surviving in the open ocean has always tested animals to their limit, but today they face a new additional treat. Plastic”, aldus David Attenborough.
Volg me dan via instagram: celialepelaars
Bedankt voor jullie steun J!
Celia
English below:
Hi lovely people,
On April 8th, 2018 I’ll be running the NN Marathon in Rotterdam. Despite this already being a physical achievement, I would like to make it a contributing one as well for nature. More specifically, for the ocean. As you may have seen yourself, sea creatures pass away due to plastic in the oceans. As David Attenborough said in the BBC documentary Blue Planet 2 “Surviving in the open ocean has always tested animals to their limit, but today they face a new additional treat. Plastic”.
Therefore I would like to help. And I would like to ask you to help me by donating to the beautiful charity Plastic Soup Foundation. This in turn will motivate me as well to finish those 42.195 kilometers. Anything you can spare will be gratefully received and put to great use.
And for those who would like to follow my journey of training for the marathon, you can follow me on Instragram: @celialepelaars
Thanks everyone :)!
Celia
