Nnina Olugero ‘I have a story, I have something to say’. The foundation hears the stories of many unheard Ugandans in Kampala and asks people to listen to them. How they have to fight against the consequences of poverty, hunger, disease, unemployment and injustice. Stories to be heard and to be replaced by new stories.
Together with 'Health Care' and 'Get up Stand Up' we let you get acquainted with the story of Dinah Nassazi, a single mother who is affected with Goiter dissease. She lost her husband in 2015 by AIDS and become a single mother. Because of her sickness she is not able to work, pay school fees for her 3 childeren and afford health care. This woman is challening difficulties every single day and her health is deteriorated with the day.
Every day is a challenge for me to provide my childeren in food, clothes and education which is so important for their future. I need al your prayers because sometimes I am thinking about putting an end on everything because of this hopeless situation. I know that I have to stay strong because my childeren are depending on me and I desperately wish to see my children grow up and go to school like every other parent will. For this I hope people will help me to afford the surgery which will be lifesaving. Please, I will be appreciative for anyone who will help me with anything to support my life and well being of my children.
At the 8th of January 2017 a group of wellwishes will be going to run the Egmond Half Marathon in the Netherlands for Dinah. A marathon which has built a certain reputation during the past 44 years; with the cold, stormy races still refreshing every participant’s memory. We want to collect €1600,- to pay her surgery, rehabilitation and school fees for her children to bring this woman and her family back to work and school and give them a change for a bright future!
